AirPods Max

Apple recently unveiled the new AirPods Max, an addition to the AirPods lineup. It is a $549 wireless over-ear headphone. It claims to produce high-fidelity audio rivalring other high-end headphones. It also features Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, and Spatial Audio.

It uses a warp knit canopy style headband along in a stainless steel frame. Its ear cups are able to pivot and rotate through the suspension system attached to the telescoping arms.

Apple claims that the ear cushions are magnetically attached and are made from engineered memory foam to provide pillow-like softness, uncompromising fit, and the optimal acoustic seal.

Similar to the Apple Watch, the AirPods Max utilises a digital crown which is found on one of the ear cups. It is used to control volume, skip between tracks, activate Siri, and answer phone calls.

It is powered by the H1 chip on each cup and features a 40-mm dynamic driver to provide "rich, deep bass, accurate mid-ranges, and crisp, clean high-frequency extension."

Apple claims it provides up to 20 hours of usage and 1.5 hours of listening time after a 5 minute charge. The AirPods Max also features the one-step setup found on other AirPods.

The AirPods Max comes in 5 colors and includes a Smart Case. A wired experience is also available with a dongle which comes separately. The AirPods Max is available to be ordered today.
