Users can now set custom private chat backgrounds. Users can have different backgrounds when chatting with different people. Different backgrounds can be activated when the phone switches into dark mode or light theme.Users can also now search for stickers and organize them more efficiently and more official sticker packs are available for download.
WhatsApp’s new features aim to create new users and keep existing users however it has been notorious for being a battery and memory hog. This resulted in more people, especially due to the pandemic, to move to other options such as Telegram, iMessage, and Discord.
