In the island of Roti, a grandma and a boy lived together. The grandma would always fish everyday, and wouldn't allow her grandson to come with her.
The grandma asked him to cook rice while she would be out to fish one day, and told him to only use one grain of rice.
Because he distrusts his grandma, he grabbed several handfuls of rice and cooked it.
When he lifeted up the pot, a stream of hot porridge flowed and filled up the kitchen, and then across the backyard. When his grandma returned and found out, she beat up with a piece of wood, not stopping even when the bou apologized.
Suddenly, the boy vanished, which took her by a shock. as she was looking for him, she heard a voice saying, "Goodbye Grandma. There would be no one to help you now."
From that day on, the people from Roti never beat up their children.
