Sometimes, we get overwhelmed by our bottled up feelings. Whether it be sadness, anger, stress, or any other emotion, they may become too much to handle. If bottled up forever, they will boil over and show themselves later, with worse consequences. They need to be let out. But, how?
Express them through creativity!
Write them down.
Simply writing about your day and what you're feeling can go far in helping you let off some steam. This can be in the form of journaling, making a memoir, creating poetry, or even writing a story with a character that's based on yourself.
Paint it out!
Art can be both very therapeutic and stressful. Rather than wallowing about your sorrows and brooding around, it's better to channel it into a beautiful piece of art. It doesn't matter if it looks the best, what matters is that the stress has been converted from existential stress to the stress of creating a masterpiece.
Take some photos
Capturing beauty, pain, love, simplicity, and many other abstract concepts can be done with one click of the camera. Taking pictures of your life or someone else's might just be a way for you to express whatever pent up feelings you may have.
Play an instrument
The euphony produced whenever passion and emotions are spilled into a musical piece is unimaginable. These emotions breathe life into a melody, for music without passion and your own imprint on it can sound a bit dull and ordinary. Play a song or two that projects your emotions, or even better, compose a song that does.
