1. Decrease the Salt and Sugar You Consume


Eating more sodium than the recommended amount could put us at risk of high blood pressure. Having High blood pressure can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Most people intake their sodium through salt. Reduce your salt intake to a teaspoon. This means we should decrease the amount of salt, soy sauce, fish sauce, and other high-sodium condiments when we are cooking meals.


Other than that, consuming too much sugar can increase the risk of tooth decay and unhealthy weight gain. It is recommended to intake around 10% of the total energy intake or around 12 teaspoons of sugar. You can start reducing your intake by decreasing the number of sugary snacks, candies, and sugar-sweetened beverages.


2. Follow traffic laws


There are over one million road crashes around the world. We can prevent road traffic injuries through a variety of measures implemented by the governments, such as strong legislation and enforcement, safer infrastructure and vehicle standards, and improved post-crash care. We can also prevent road crashes by following the traffic laws, such as using seat belts for both adults and children, wearing a helmet when you are riding a bicycle or a motorcycle, don’t drink and drive, and don’t use your phone while driving.
