University can be stressful for many students around the world, thus being one of the main reasons for mental health problems and also is one of the public places where people with psychological ailments are being discriminated against, marginalized, and isolated. To raise awareness and help the students, universities now have held a range of events, workshops, and resources.
In the University of Brighton, there will be several schedules of activities that will be held during this Mental Health Awareness Week (18-24 May 2020). One of the activities to start the week is the Covid-19 Positive Challenge. Students, teachers, and anyone who would like to join will write down a list of 19 things that they are being grateful for during this quarantine and have boosted her mental attitude via social media channels.
Other universities such as Harvard University also indirectly support this week by creating free online courses for the public. Anyone who’s bored and doesn’t have anything to do can enroll in the courses. Simply click the course you want (Web Programming for example) and you’ll be able to see the details of the course. By doing this range of activities held by the universities, everyone can relieve their stress, see the world in a different view, share the good news of the world with everyone else, and learn new things at the same time.
