With so much to do during home based learning and working from home, there’s no doubt that most of us feel pressured to keep being productive and to get things done. However, this mindset is flawed in the way that it is not good for our mental health. It increases the level of cortisol, the stress hormone. Being unproductive does not mean that we are being useless! It’s actually a good thing to take a break once in a while. It gives us time to unwind and relax. Sometimes, we just have to stop working to be able to get a fresher look on life.
Unproductivity is productive in itself. In this time where we are taking time for ourselves, we do other things that improve our mood and overall well being. Here are several ideas of what to do during “unproductivity”:

Learn a new language
Start a YouTube channel!
Read a novel
Call your relatives
Take up gardening
