No teacher likes students cheating for various good reasons. And with online learning, teachers use YLearn and Google Meet(s) to monitor students as best as they can.
The Meet serves as a place for teachers to monitor and give announcements. Hopefully the Meet is also a place where students can express any issues/questions comfortably. For the students, keep in mind that your teachers are trying to teach and assess accurately online. Please feel free to express any issues, but please do so to improve the future. For the teachers, know that your students are struggling as well to learn online. If they have questions or input, please realize that they also want a better online learning experience. The goal should not be to eliminate cheating, but to build trust to motivate students to be honest. Otherwise we would constantly battle ideas endlessly, so it seems.
In conclusion, YLearn is not perfect, so it is up to the teachers and students to decide how they want to use it. Regardless, please keep an open mind and communicate.
