Aside from your high school transcript, tests such as SAT, IELTS, TOEFL are most likely needed when applying to a university. Good scores in one (or two) will give you more advantages (incentives to let you in as it’ll make the school looks good).
So, here are the tips for getting that top scores in SAT:
Be wary of the “no change” answers in the writing section. Think again before you choose this option as the answer is rarely this.
Read, read, read! This will help you in gaining more reading comprehension skill.
Learn more vocabulary. Just in case if you don’t know one or two words in reading & writing section.
Make sure your math answers fit. When you’re having a difficulty in the math section, take advantage of the multiple choice questions by plugging in the choices given.
Skip the hard questions. Try to solve the easy ones first.
Practice, practice, practice! Remember, practice makes perfect!
Lastly, remember that the range of SAT (starting from 2016) is 400 to 1600, so no more 0 and 2400 and there are only 2 sections: Evidence-based Reading & Writing and Mathematics. The next SAT test date is November 7, so be prepared and good luck!
