Among Us : A Game of Trust and Betrayal

So, I’m replacing the usual writer who writes Youtuber reviews and I’m going to do a game review. Among Us is an online game developed by InnerSloth Games. It was developed first in 2018 and didn’t have such a cult following as they do now.

To play this game, especially if you’re playing with your friends via voice call or GMeet, you have to disregard any sense of trust or mercy. It’s every man for himself. There are two characters that you can play as (the system chooses randomly and you can’t do anything about it), Imposter and Crewmate

The mission of an Imposter is to kill everyone on board. You have to try to not get voted out (Yes, there are emergency meetings and dead body reports that every crewmate hates when they’re doing their job). As an Imposter, you can sabotage different equipment in the maps (note that there are 3 maps). In order to win, you need to be patient, cunning, and intelligent.

When being a crewmate, your job is to simply do your task given and watch out. There are two ways to win as a crewmate. You either vote all of the Imposters out or you finish your task before the Imposter kills everybody.

Among Us has led me to betray my friends and completely lost my sense of trust in them. Often, I was voted out due to becoming “sus” despite being a crewmate and doing absolutely nothing wrong. There’s a high chance everybody is lying. Nonetheless, it is a fun game. It's a game where you can spend 1-3 hours playing and you won’t notice.
