The six-time Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, felt “completely overcome with rage” over the murder of George Floyd, which has triggered violent protest and riot across the Western world. He encouraged his fans and people to stand against racial injustice. "I am completely overcome with rage at the sight of such blatant disregard for the lives of our people. The injustice that we are seeing our brothers and sisters face all over the world time and time again is disgusting, and MUST stop,” the Mercedes driver wrote in his Instagram. Lewis has also shouted out against Formula One for its silence towards the incident, in which the sport eventually tweeted a statement saying, “"We stand with you, and all people in the fight against racism. It is an evil that no sport or society is truly immune from,".
