Making the Most out of Quarantine

Due to the dangers of the Covid-19 pandemic, millions of people from all around the world are forced to stay home and maintain social distancing. Ever since March, many of us have been given tons of free time, and yet, we do not know how to spend that time. On the other hand, Second World War veternan, Colonel Tom Moore decided to make the most out of his personal free time. To commemorate his 100th birthday during quarantine, he decided to dedicate his birthday to the frontliners working in the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. With a crooked four-legged stick, he walked around his courtyard for a hundred times, aiming to raise money to help doctors and nurses who have been working to help cure Covid-19 patients. By the end of his 100th lap, he helped raised £32 million for the NHS. Although we are not colonels, it is not impossible for us to make the most of our free time. Instead of simply looking at our phones all day, we could do our own part to help frontliners and those who are struggling through this pandemic by raising funds in our own way. By merely using the best of our time, we could make a difference even during quarantine.
