“The letters are out.”
If you’ve never seen this movie before, then you’re probably living under a rock. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is a rom-com that is a classic to any one who loves this genre. It is based on Jenny Han’s trilogy of novels and about two of her books have been adapted into movies. This movie tells the story of Lara Jean Song-Covey, your typical teenager, who writes five different letters to five different guys that she’s liked in the past. Her mischievous little sister, Kitty, ends up sending those letters to those guys. The movie continues with Lara Jean unexpectedly meeting Peter, one of the guys she sent a letter to. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is a mix of teen fantasy with a dose of reality, with realistic scenes put into what you expected to be a lovey-dovey rom-com. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a fun watch.
